On 29th March, 1915, the 1st Royal Berkshire battalion of 6 Brigade, 2nd Division, moved into the front line at the Cuinchy brick works where they remained until relieved on 3rd April. Henry Tanner was killed on their first day here when a shell landed in one of their trenches. |
